PANEL on Gamma and Electron Irradiation
Meetings are once every 4 months, in which members discuss matters relating to all aspects of electron beam and gamma radiation processing. Meetings are held at venues around the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe - hosted by members. Meetings of the Working Groups take place at intervals determined by the level of current activity.
Regular meeting attendance is a condition of membership and from this area you are able to view and download information about future and past meetings. Panel Objectives
To encourage the development of, and progress in, the practice of radiation processing, particularly with reference to safety and plant operation.
To provide a body of experts capable of assisting in the development, acceptance and implementation of National and International Standards and Codes of Practice relating to radiation processing.
To promote a wide appreciation of radiation processing technologies, particularly via dissemination of information and education.
To develop an international dimension via active liaison with other interested organisations.
To encourage participation by representatives from all branches of the Electron Beam and Gamma processing industries, and by representatives from disciplines directly associated with these activities.
To encourage participation by organisations/institutions/individuals particularly concerned with dosimetry, radiation chemistry or radiation biology.
