074 A new type of electron accelerator for industrial applications

Abstract
Electron beam accelerator is used for material processing, medical device sterilization and other industrial applications, and it performs an essential function for some processing. In electron beam accelerator for these industrial applications energy range from several hundred keV to 10MeV and high beam current are required. Additionally high reliability, compactness and low cost are desired.

NHVC has developed and dealt high reliable and high power electrostatic accelerators for these requirements. And now, we have developed new type of electron accelerator. This new accelerator covers the energy range widely and is very compact compared with the conventional electrostatic accelerators. The status of development and the future plan of this new accelerator are presented.
